Fluffy fritters that are perfect for rainy mornings
Punugullu is a deep fried breakfast and snack made with All-purpose flour and fermented curd. Popular in Andhra and Tamil Nadu, you can find locals indulging in this street food almost every day. It is especially popular during the monsoons for its warm, fluffy texture. It is best enjoyed with a contrasting blend of chutneys. Generally a tangy chutney like tomato and a nutty chutney like coconut or peanut chutney.
– All-purpose flour
– Curd (sour)
– Baking soda

Mix all purpose flour and curd. Add salt and baking soda to it. Stir well and refrigerate the batter for whole night.
When you are ready to cook, place berry sized batter in oil. Allow it to fry to golden colour.
Serve it with side chutneys.
It will be yummy.
